We will be making a beautifully finished snap frame purse. The class will start with you designing a pattern to your own specifications. You will be able to take this away and use it again at home as well as having the skills to alter the pattern for different sizes and styles of frame.
This will be used to cut the fabric. You will learn to use interfacing to add body to the purse which will be assembled and inserted into a high quality purse frame.
The finished item will be unique and perfect for use on your next night out!
You will need two fat quarters of quilting weight cotton, one for the purse exterior and one for the lining. Either bring your own or purchase from our extensive range before the class.
All other materials are supplied including your choice of antique bronze or silver purse frame. You will also be using our Janome J3-18 sewing machines.
Your tutor for this class will be Ana Dugdale. Ana is a City and Guilds qualified tutor with extensive sewing experience particularly in the field of patchwork and quilting.
