Learn to Sew for Ages 8-13
- Day 1
10:30am, (ends 1:00pm)
3 places available
If you’re age 8-13 and want to learn to use a sewing machine, then this is the class for you! Learn new skills and make a small reversible bag to take home.
In this class, we will learn how a sewing machine works. We will go through threading the machine and do some practice sewing to improve our accuracy.
We will then use these skills to make a small, fully reversible bag with button and ribbon closure, perfect for carrying your phone and purse or as a special present for mum.
Parents or helpers are welcome to stay or go for a browse or coffee in the garden centre.
All materials are supplied for this workshop. This includes your choice from a selection of material as well as use of our Janome J3-18 sewing machines.
Your tutor for this class will be Ana Dugdale. Ana is a City and Guilds qualified tutor with extensive sewing experience particularly in the field of patchwork and quilting.
