Learn to use a sewing machine while making a gorgeous yet practical tote bag. We will cover all the skills you need to set out on your sewing journey including:
- Threading the machine
- Machine features and control
- Basic straight and zig zag stitch
- Troubleshooting and problem solving
This course is perfect for those who have never used a sewing machine before or those who used one while at school and are in need of a refresher. By the end of the class you will have the confidence and skills to tackle a range of basic sewing projects.
All materials are supplied for this workshop. This includes 0.5m of fabric of your choice from our extensive range and use of our Janome J3-18 machines.
Your tutor for this class will be Ana Dugdale. Ana is a City and Guilds qualified tutor with extensive sewing experience particularly in the field of patchwork and quilting.
